I understand parking is a problem in inner city Hamilton. Where can I park?
We have a covered car parking area in the hotel building. You can park, subject to availability, in the same building as where you're staying. Entrance to the car park is on Collingwood Street off Victoria Street.
We are smokers. Do you have accommodation for us?
All our units are non-smoking but some units have a balcony or patio where you may smoke. Please request one of these units if you are a smoker.
I notice that you advertise air-conditioning. What is your source for heating?
Each unit has its own individual heat pump system, which provides both heating and air-conditioning.
You advertise Digital Sky TV. What exactly does this mean?
Digital Sky is the best reception you can get. It's clearer and there's less atmospheric interference. While we offer 13 channels, 6 of them are digital. They are CNN, Sky Movies, Sky Movie Max, Sky Sport, Sky Sport 2 and Discovery.
You advertise luxury suites with separate Internet phone lines. Can I connect to the Internet from one of your other suites?
Yes. All of our suites have a separate connection point for the Internet, which uses the same line as the phone. We have four luxury suites and two one bedroom suites that have Broadband access available at an extra charge.
You advertise affordable luxury but I did not notice an official hotel or motel rating. What is your official rating?
We have chosen not to subscribe to a rating service, rather we have chosen to put that additional cost into the quality of our amenities. Our goal is to measure up to a five-star motel standard and, at least, a four-star hotel standard.
You advertise a central and convenient location. Where exactly are you?
We are located on Victoria Street just South of Garden Place in the heart of the Central Business District. Our front Entrance is just North of the corner of Victoria & Collingwood at 303 Victoria. Our car park entrance is located just West of the corner of Victoria & Collingwood, behind the Commercial Hotel.
What are your reception hours?
Regular Reception hours are from 7:30 am - 8 PM 7 days per week. If you require check-in or departure outside of these hours be sure to make special arrangements when you make your booking.
What are your requirements regarding bookings and cancellations?
Booking manually: To confirm a reservation we require that you phone or fax your credit card details (we accept Visa, MasterCard & Bartercard). Your card will not be charged until your departure, unless you fail to show or cancel. We also require a contact phone #, a mobile # if you have one and your estimated arrival time. Cancellations can be made within 72 hrs of your booking date without penalty.
Booking Online: Your booking can be instantly confirmed online. Simply select the Book It button and follow the steps to make your reservation. You will be asked for your method of payment and all credit card details are kept in a completely secure environment. Once you have followed the booking steps, a message on screen will inform you how many nights you have booked, how much your credit card will be charged, including how much of that is a deposit and the remainder to be paid on or before the first day of the reservation. You will also receive a confirmation email giving you the details of your booking.
Do you offer any additional services for the Business Traveller?
We have both fax and copying services available and also an ice machine, guest laundry and several in-room-dining options. If you are contemplating an extended stay, please call us toll free for a 'special' rate.
